PRINCIPLE OF THE TREATMENT
This technique consists of stimulating the secretion of new collagen fibres and reducing fat cells using high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), with the aim of re-tensioning the skin tissue.
The ultrasound acts on the dermis at variable depths ranging from 1.5 mm to 4.5 mm depending on the thickness of the skin to be treated and emits convergent waves to cause a 70° heating at a single point. This contracts and stimulates skin tissue and breaks down fat cells.

Technique
High-intensity focused ultrasound is used to target different depths of the skin (1.5mm to 13mm) in order to provide a response in terms of skin retraction and/or fat melting. The high-intensity energy is delivered in the form of lines, themselves made up of several points through the different layers of the skin.
These points, delivered at a very high temperature, generate neo-collagenase, i.e. new collagen production. The patient’s skin therefore becomes more toned and firmer. HIFU by DUAL HI is a non-surgical, non-invasive slimming and firming technique.

Results
For volume
Fat cells are permanently destroyed in depths ranging from 6.5mm to 13mm (depending on the indications). This fat is gradually eliminated by natural means.
The effects are visible after 3 months and optimal after 6 months.
For sagging skin
The “Lifting” effect, due to the shots in depths ranging from 1.5mm to 4.5mm, can be perceived slightly immediately and will be optimal after 2/3 months. Patience is required for the stimulated fibroblasts to react and produce a stable result lasting 2 years on average.
Procedure
During the consultation, the patient discusses the area(s) he or she would like to treat. These areas are examined by the doctor, who carefully establishes the indications.
A protocol of 1 to 3 sessions is proposed to the patient, depending on the area. During the session, the doctor will apply a contact gel (an ultrasound gel) so that the ultrasound can penetrate the skin as well as possible and deliver all the necessary energy deep down.
Generally, the doctor will mark out with a white pencil the areas where he or she will pass the device’s handpiece several times.
The device will send impacts to different depths of the skin. There is no risk to the epidermis.
The session is virtually painless, although the patient may feel a sensation of heat in the area treated, as well as a slight tingling sensation.
A session for small areas of the face can last 10 minutes. It can take up to 40 minutes for the whole face. A session for the body can last between 30 and 60 minutes.
There is no social eviction at the end of the session. The skin is just a little pink but visibly more relaxed and firmer.
